A big box of RED VINYL FRANCIS HAROLD & THE HOLOGRAMS LP arrived. That's the debut LP from one of the most ass-kicking punk bands on the darker-sides of the aural spectrum we have out n about these days. 600 total pressing size split between two labels (Going Underground / Square Wave Records), highly recommended by nearly everyone on planet earth, and all I really know is I have a TON of red vinyl here. Get this or don't and then become pissed.
There are probably more titles in there, but my brain is so slow from this medicine I took.
CRITICAL SWINE FLU UPDATE!

Rapid-fire power-pop/punk from Pittsburgh fusing 70's punk and hardcore with sticky bubblegum goo. Think early Registrators, Teengenerate, Raspberries, Nerves, Big Star, Teenage Head, Nikki and the Corvettes etc. Dan (Radiobeats, Rot Shit) and Yago (Gito Gito Hustler) split male/female vocals and combine dual guitar layers for more sweet n sharp little candy fragments than a lollipop busted on your head. Solid bass/drums tie up all the sweetness in focused aggression. Blackout 12" comes with a poster and insert.

CHARLIE & THE MOONHEARTS "DROP IN, DROP OUT" 7-INCH

"Drop In Drop Out" channels 80's vibes of then-youthful Orange County punk experimenting, but then they colored it all in with fuzzed-up guitars and the scuzzed-up melody-driven stylistic tendencies of 60's garage rock. All of this finds its way into songs that most importantly (and above all else) do not sound contrived in any way, rehearsed, too thought out, or anything ese that proves less than a straight kick to the head. 500 Pressed.

LENGUAS LARGAS "I FEEL" 7-INCH

Debut 45 from Lenguas Largas. 3 songs that linger in the bleak haze of herbal therapy, alcohol, and a general obsession with darkness. Lenguas Largas takes cold and minimal post-punk templates and approaches them by tossing around everything in the kitchen sink. Gathering up some friction to layer and warm up cold ideas for human consumption. 500 pressed.
